How It Works

If you’re looking for a thoughtful, truly personalised gift then why not commission a bespoke cartoon illustration? We’ll put you (or your friends, family, vehicle, team, home, heroes or pets…) in the frame.

Step One: Briefing

Got an idea for a cartoon or caricature and want to see it come to life through pen and ink (and paint) on paper? Here’s your opportunity to engage a cartoonist and create your very own bespoke cartoon.

We’ll work with you to ascertain what you want to achieve with your tailored cartoon. You decide what you want depicted in the illustration. You can choose the format and material for the cartoon art piece and we’ll join the dots...

As part of the briefing process, you’ll just need to show us a photo of each person that you would like to feature in your bespoke, personalised illustration. If we are creating a piece reflecting individual personalities and characteristics, we’d ask for a short list of relevant interests, hobbies, pets, vehicles, clothing tastes, hairstyle, eye colour etc. etc.

Step Two: Visualisation

Our cartoon artist will produce a pencil draft of the proposed illustration. This first draft pencil illustration will be sent to you for your approval and we’ll seek your input on any tweaks. Here’s your opportunity to make any minor changes before the content of your unique cartoon painting is finalised.

Step Three: Approval & Payment

Once the pencil draft has been approved, an invoice will be sent with bank details. When payment has been received, the illustration will be finalised with Indian ink, watercolour paints and graphic markers.

Step Four: Final Production & Delivery

On completion, you’ll be sent a photo of the final cartoon prior to despatch. We’ll securely package your cartoon and post it using a tracked delivery service. You’ll open your parcel to reveal your truly unique, bespoke cartoon. The whole creative process typically takes less than 2 weeks from initial contact.
