If you have a specific piece of art in mind, we can bring your creative vision into material reality. One of our talented illustrators, cartoonists, graphic designers or artists can bring your idea to life and create your very own custom art, tailored to your space, budget and vision.
Perhaps you like a work of art on our website that has already been sold. That doesn’t mean you still can’t buy the art you want. Maybe you appreciate the style and techniques of one of the artists we feature and you like one of their previous commissions. We may well be able to recreate the art piece or produce a custom artwork based on the art piece just for you, a client or a loved one. We can adapt the artwork, personalising it to suit your taste, creating something truly unique, personal and truly emotive.
If you have a precise idea of a new piece of art you are looking for, our artists can certainly help bring your ideas to life. Alternatively, you may want an artist to take your loose concept, build on it and develop your idea into a one of a kind artwork.
We have a team of talented graphic designers, cartoonists, illustrators, typographers, photographers, woodcrafters and AI art creators at your disposal.
Commissioning a work of art is no longer reserved for the rich and famous. You’ll be amazed how affordable it is to commission a work of art of your very own.
While you may feel there is greater risk in commissioning a work of art, because you can’t see the finished piece at the outset, the reward and satisfaction you can derive from directing your very own piece of art and receiving your own custom artwork can be huge. When commissioning your very own piece of artwork, there is huge flexibility in terms of format, style and subject matter.
With smooth collaboration, great communication, faith in the process and a talented artist at your service, the amount of satisfaction you can derive from owning your very own piece of bespoke art can be phenomenal.
There is nothing like having a personal story related to an artwork or a bond with the artist. Owning a bespoke piece of art can resonate deeply on a personal level and bring huge satisfaction.
Throughout the process, from the conception of your idea through to briefing and final delivery of your art piece, you’ll be informed and involved. We’ll be on hand and working in collaboration with you at key points to create that perfect piece of art.
The Creative Process
There are key stages during the creative process. On-going collaboration during the project cycle and clear communication during these key stages will ensure a smooth and successful creative project resulting in great art.
Conceptualisation
Firstly, you'll need to decide on your subject matter and style. The sky really is the limit and you can let your imagination run wild … You’ll want to ask yourself what you want the art piece to be, how you envisage it to look and what materials you would like to see the piece produced with.
Come up with a great idea for a piece of art and we can bring it to life; whether it’s a theme, song, poem, film, book, person, pet, team, personal memory, abstract concept, mythical creature or a bundle of thoughts in a montage you’re looking to materialise.
Briefing
Describe the type of artwork you are seeking and your creative idea for the art piece. We’ll discuss your aspirations for the art piece; agree the creative concept, any source materials, scale, format, style, finishes, colours, composition and approach.
Here, we will be very careful to ensure there are no misunderstandings and discuss the concept, format, colour palette, materials, budgets, lead-times etc. We will then issue a contract for agreement highlighting price, payment terms, an approximate timeline, the approval process and usage rights
Visualisation
Once the brief and contract is agreed, we take a 50% payment as a non-refundable deposit and the commissioned artist will commence the first draft of the creative process.
The studio will maintain a steady and ready connection with you and update you, sharing the creative with you at key stages before final output and delivery of your bespoke art piece. For example, with a cartoon or painting, we would show you a pencil outline, sketch or scamp version of the layout for approval before coloration. Here’s the opportunity to give any feedback about the piece. We can discuss any amends and adjustments before progression.
Final Production & Delivery
If you have commissioned an illustration or painting, once the draft scamp is approved, the artist progresses the creative process through to finalisation of the art piece. We are happy to send photos of the work in progress during this phase to show the work is on track. Once complete, we’ll send you a final image, you pay the 50% balance and we get in touch to organise delivery. Simple.
